Why Tell the Story?

Because the story is not really about me, its about the One who made it all happen, God. He saved my life, He redeemed my life and gave it a new direction, Walking the narrow path of following Jesus Christ.
Phil.1:21 “For me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.”

But is was not always like that, in 1987 i was making my own path just like everyone else in the world, i made my own rules. I did what i wanted, i said what i wanted, with no regard for peoples feelings. If i needed it, i stole it. I was addicted to cocaine and alcohol, and had no respect for authority or life itself.
So why the change?

God touched my life, i came to know Him as a good and loving Father. He cared for me from the day of my birth, He loved me no matter what i did, He loved me so much that He sent His Son Jesus to did for me. To show his love, mercy, and forgiveness.

John 3:16 says it best  For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.   He is the perfect Father.

Some of us had good fathers here on earth and some of us had bad dads. But until you come to know Jesus you will never know the perfect Father.  Many have searched diligently the birth records and archives to learn about their fathers, only to find disappointment, abandonment, and rejection.

Try seeking your Father in heaven with that same diligence, search the scripture to see and experience the perfect Father, who will always love you no matter what. Who will never leave you or forsake you. Who will never disappoint you.  See all He has done for you since the beginning of time to have a relationship with you.

Jeremiah 29:11-14
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. 12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. 13 You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart. 14 I will be found by you, declares the LORD, “.
God tells us exactly who we are to Him in His word, let me share what brought change to my life that allows me to live for Christ and leave behind the former way i lived.  He says, in John 1:12 “But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, 13 who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God. ”

John 15,16 “No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you. 16 You did not choose me, but I chose you.”

Romans 1:1 “Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

1Corinthians 19-20 “Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.”
I WAS BOUGHT WITH A PRICE  (that price was Christ’s life)

Colossians 1:13-14 ” 13 He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, 14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

Colossians 11:-14 ” and God has made you complete in Christ. Christ is in charge of every ruler and authority. 11 In him you were also circumcised. It was not a circumcision performed by human hands. But it was a removal of the corrupt nature in the circumcision performed by Christ. 12 This happened when you were placed in the tomb with Christ through baptism. In baptism you were also brought back to life with Christ through faith in the power of God, who brought him back to life.  13 You were once dead because of your failures and your uncircumcised corrupt nature. But God made you alive with Christ when he forgave all our failures. 14 He did this by erasing the charges that were brought against us by the written laws God had established. He took the charges away by nailing them to the cross.”

So when you ask why the change, God,”made me an offer i could not refuse”!
